Hi there. I also am a Twilight addict. I denied it for a long time but since it is only getting worse I decided I better just start embracing it and people can think what they want. My husband puts up with it somewhat but he doesn't know just how addicted I am. I have two young daughters who are becoming addicts by default. They are only 7 and 4--whatever, I can't help it. I was in the grocery store yesterday and there was Rob's face on the front of some tabloid and my oldest daughter starts screaming, "Mama, Twilight! Twilight!" I sheepishly looked around and she looked very confused that I also was not screaming with joy. Sign of an addict right? Hiding my addiction?

Anyhoo, I am so happy to find some like-minded more mature addicts out there. I have been a member of TwilightMOMS for a while but often feel like they really aren't my people--too stuffy, not snarky enough for my taste. Also, the moderators want everything to stay "Family Friendly"--what is the fun in that?

As you can see I am rather long winded. I look forward to this. Thanks Pillow Biter!

Welcome VitaminR70!
I was looking around for a group too where I could share my addiction, my ideas and thoughts. When I found this site, and said the same thing, "[found] some like-minded more mature addicts out there". From what I've read thus far and it looks like we're just getting started, you've come to the right place.
"...not snarky enough for my taste" ... I second the motion! You be as snarky as you want ... ahem, within reason of course! Very Happy

My sentiments exactly-- we're often embarrassed in front of, or BY our kids for our Twilight obsession. I get tingly when I see those bedroom eyes staring at me from the tabloid in the grocery story, but I don't want my kids pointing it out to me; talk about buzzkill!

So how are we supposed to stay "family friendly?" I sure wouldn't have an Edward conversation with my kids; if I could, then why would I need to be on a forum?

Looks like there are definitely like-minded gals here- yay!

Long winded= not a bad thing! LOL I try and keep things short for the blog's sake (website etiquette) but no holds bar here!

Love your Pocket Edward pic, Vitamin!

Thanks for the nice welcome! Pillow Biter thanks for the compliment on my PE picture. You have seen the Pocket Edward video I made right? I think you posted it--maybe not, I can't remember. I know Twi Crack Addict posted it a couple of weeks ago. Here is the link if you are interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8CVYMdkT0g This video was not planned--it just happened. I went a little insane with a good friend of mine. Also, just to explain...I live in Seattle so going to the Olympic Peninsula is not such a big journey--I am not totally freaky making a pilgramage to Forks. We spent all of 30 min. of our trip in Forks--the rest of the time we were at the beach. I am looking forward to this blog. I will try and visit some of the other topics later when the children are tucked away.

In the grocery store with your daughter....F U N N Y!! "Family Friendly" = no fun.

Yay! I love the snarky-ness. I'm too sarcastic for my own good. So this forum with 'my kind' will be good for me.

Sarcasm is good--real good. Maybe we could have the three S's on this forum as our mantra--what could they be? Sarcasm, Snarkiness & Smut? Sarcasm, Snarkiness & Spunk Ransom?

Hi y'all! I am obviously from the deep south - Atlanta, Ga! I am a member of Twilight Moms group on facebook, which is connected to pillow biters, so I hop back and forth between the 2. I love my wolf girl! Smile I got my daughter the Twilight Saga after the end of Harry Potter, but didn't start reading them until after we saw the movie opening weekend. Right after, because Robward got me all hawt and bothered. I mean, I actually had a physical reaction to the bedroom kiss! I was almost embarassed to be sitting next to my husband, felt guilty a little. But, looking back I would say that was the moment it clicked & I was hooked! So, imagine how hooked I became after getting into the books! So, anyway, glad to be here and proud to be a Twilighter!

Wowsers, Jenny- that's a Twilight Virginity losing confession if I ever heard one! Wink

I took dh to see it too, and it was NOT fun. He was geeked out by all the teenagers behind us who squealed when Carlisle came in, and I had to pretend like that kiss was just part of some grade b movie, instead of THE most AMAZING physical on-screen passion Edward Cullen yummy/swooniness..

And the prom scene where I forget to breathe.. I had to remember to catch my breath quietly. BUZZKILL.

So I had to go back with girlfriends pronto and wipe out all the negative dh energy. Wink
