So, I'm kinda excited! cheers I haven't been on a forum in forever. Well, since my addiciton to Twilight started. Cause lets face it...it consumes everything! When my domestic duties are done(according to MY standards...hehe)I give in to the 'Saga Sickness.' Blogging...reading...etc. And I'm getting more and more enthralled with FanFiction. What a Face I love my online Twilight friends. (The only people who don't think I'm a little off balance, and constantly ask when the 'real' Tasha is coming back.)

Hi Tasha! I'm right there with you on the household stuff, do as much as is needed, then back to Twilight! I'll have to go dig up some good fanfic, like I really need another reason to spend more time on the computer looking at Twilight stuff!

Hey Tasha ... glad you joined us! Seems like there's quite a few of us in need of a safe harbor where we can "unload" our thoughts and not be zinged for it. I've done the minimal as well, around the house ... in between chapters don't ya know.
Probably the thing that gets my family the most is I keep the music playing. Don't know what it is about the soundtrack and musical score ... I'm stuck in music mode!

Tasha, I know how you feel. I pretty much have to keep it closeted, I've aready gotten my share of tee hees, smirking, and rolling eyes. It also ticks me off when I read something posted by a teenager like we more mature ladies are off our rockers, and coo-coo. I believe we get a lot more from it than "ooh-hotguy". We have a special appreciation of the story as well. Smile

Welcome! As you can see from all my posts I am excited to be here too. After following Pillow Biter's blog for a while I just knew this would be a group more to my liking than some other sites and in my demographic. Hooray for more snarky and mature Twilight fans.

And after reading Tasha's blog, let me tell you that there is some serious snark going on here. Yay! Thanks for joining, girl!

I've become more closeted than I used to; it's sad. My family went into overload degrading Twilight, so I had an intervention with THEM (spurred by my husband hiding my Pocket Edward) and told them I didn't want it mentioned any more.

It still comes up from time to time, and Pocket Edward is back, but in the meantime I have to feed my fervor on the net. Shhh...

He hid your Pocket Edward? Awwwww. My Pocket Edward stands proudly on my kitchen counter next to the photo of me (my face digitally replaced in Bella's)on Edward's back that my friends made for me for my birthday. Somehow he puts up with it. He even helped me make my Pocket Edward Goes to Forks video. I think he didn't want me to make a technological fool of myself. He has actually shown it to friends when they come over. He still acts annoyed sometimes though and rolls his eyes a lot. I think I need to give him extra big hugs and kisses tonight when he comes home.

Rule number one: Love on your hubby or bf extra so they don't feel replaced by Edward Cullen.

We have a lot of respect for each other when it comes to people of the opposite sex; maybe because we were college sweethearts- each other's first love.

So when I got my Pocket Edward, mostly as a joke to loom over his Speed Racer, he became super jealous and accused me of being in love with Edward Cullen (who is um. a fictional creature. I know. silly, right?)

I think what put him over the edge is that I had Edward hanging out in the sun visor in my van. That's when he kidnapped him. LOL I feel so silly writing this-- it's a LONG story! lol

So I digress.. I DID post your video, Vitamin- it was too cute! DH helped you with it? That was so sweet!

Damn you and your Pocket Edwards! It's to the point now, that I'm just gonna have to create my very own Pocket Emmett....*sigh*....It's not fair I tell you...just not fair!

Oh and while I was "twittering" earlier...I was shocked to find out that my hater-hubby did something horrible. I can't find my Twilight DVD! Shocked And of course he's off fighting crime...so no luck there! So, I loaded the kids up and went to Target and bought another one...

Did he hide it? Throw it away? Burn it in a sacrificial ceremony with his "I Hate Edward Cullen" followers? I dunno. Suspect

Another theory (you know I like my theories):

He's a closet unicorn and he took the dvd to work to watch on his laptop, hoping it will be a slow Saturday night.

Where ELSE could that DVD be??

I just thought of something funny. Couple is in bed sleeping. Then the wife starts talking in her sleep.
"MMMMMM, Edward, MMMMMMM, Rob.........

Ok, maybe that's not so funny. A woman could get in big trouble!!! Shocked

BELIEVE me, Suzanne- that thought has crossed my mind many a time! I have to ahem, watch myself in the throes of passion, and I hope to HEAVEN that I'm not whispering his name in my sleep! I would be a goner- having an affair with a fictional creature!

Tell me I'm not alone! What a Face

You are soooo not alone!!!!Although I'm almost divorced, I was in the middle of reading Eclipse when crashing at my husband's, while he took care of some auto maintainance on my car. When he got back from the auto repair place he said "What's so fascinating about that book? you've had your nose in it all day!" I said, "It's a vampire love story". Later that night, I was thinking "Geez, I'm glad he's snoring loud, in case I mention 'Edward' in my sleep!"Now I hope I'm still able to be in this group! I feel so much a part of this group like Bella was a member of the Cullen family.
Very Happy

Just reading over the responses about husbands and Edward/Rob, and it got me to thinking. Do our husbands have any Edward qualities - simular reasons as to why we fell in love with them?
Just curious...
...isn't there a little Edward in our men?

The only Edward in my man is the feelings of first love that I re-live when I'm reading the book. My dh was my first and only love.

My dh COMPLETELY embodies Jacob- tons of testosterone, big and hulk-hunky, bull in a china shop, NOT perfect and refined, but can ooze the charm on command.

That said, I ADORE Jacob- I don't see him as the "rapist" that I've heard some call him. I am a die-hard Team Switzerland girl, and it's not because I can't make up my mind; it's because I think of dh the whole time I'm reading about Jacob. I can't help but love him too.

Yep! Me too! I married my highschool sweetheart 7 1/2 years ago....my first and only love. He does have an extra Edward-ism: he's very very overprotective, almost to a fault. Alot of how Edward trys to sheild Bella from things especially in the beginning, & how he's really protective, reminds me of my hubs. He's a cop...he can't help himself. Other than that, he's Emmett. Thru and thru. I think that's why I love Emmett so much. My hubs is tall, really thick muscles and dark wavy hair. And he always delivers some stunning one-liners, especially sex jokes. He just doesn't sparkle....dang it!

P.S.
Oh how I do love your theories! hehehe...he actually picked up his portable DVD player yesterday from a friend to use it last night while at an extra job. I'm going to check it now!...I bet it's in there!
