2 seperate quotes from Edward in Midnight Sun (both about the sleeping girl)
I loved Edward, until I read the partial Midnight Sun. After that, I absolutely adore him. Some may think it's creepy that he watches her sleep, but I think it's true love at it's best. He could be anywhere doing anything, but he'd rather be there in her room watching her dream about him, wishing he could do the same. Then, how he composes her lullaby...*heart melts*...I remember the 1st time I heard the non-movie lullaby ("River Flows In You" by Yiruma) on a fan made trailer. It's perfection...especially when reading Midnight Sun. I wanted to cry. But..held strong.
"Right now--with her dark hair tangled and wild around her pale face, wearing a threadbare t-shirt full of holes with tatty sweatpants, her features relaxed in unconsciousness, her full lips slightly parted--she took my breath away."
"There was a story to this melody, and once I saw that, the pieces fell into place effortlessly. The story was a sleeping girl in a narrow bed, dark hair thick and wild and twisted like seaweed across the pillow..."
