This one seems to work the best for me...

"Yes I am watching this again, because my watching Twilight again is no different than you watching a three hour block of The Family Guy or Star Wars on TV when you have 7 different copies in the bedroom..."

I use I’m taking a "mental vacation” excuse "see you when I get back.” I get fixated while reading and take off mentally to a different place. When I “come back” I feel relaxed and of course can’t help snicker to myself at the recalled ‘funny parts’ of the books.



Family doesn’t seem to mind too much, except for the “…you reading it again” comments. Plus my husband sees a certain sparkle in my eye, cuz he knows I'm happy.



And, besides… supper is made, laundry is done - leave me alone, I’m reading!
